WELCOME TO OUR PIPE BAND
An Insight
City of Auckland Pipe Band is a young talented band of passionate pipers and drummers from a diverse range of cultures and backgrounds. The band is ranked Grade 3 under the Royal New Zealand Pipe Band Association and recently competed at the New Zealand National Competition in Invercargill (2020) placing 2nd in the Grade 3 Dress, 4th in the Grade 3 Medley , and 5th overall for Grade 3.
Highlights of the Band's recent travels include performing in the 2016 Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo in Wellington, New Zealand and attending as international guest artists at the 2016 Festival Interceltique de Lorient in Lorient, Brittanny, France.
The band can offer a variety of performance options for private and public events, with options ranging from solo pipers for Weddings, Funerals, Birthday and Graduations, through to full band turnouts for Corporate events and street parades.
ABOUT THE BAND
We are Grade 3 competition band, with a strong focus on entertainment and supporting the Auckland community. We play at many Auckland venues and events, and are well-known for our Celtic concerts, and have a strong and active training programme for young learners.

PRACTICE NIGHTS
We practice at 7:30pm each Thursday evening (except for the Christmas period) at Mt Albert Grammar School. Learner tuition is from 6:30pm before practice. Visitors are always welcome - Call us first for directions to the practice rooms.
REPERTOIRE
We play a Grade 3 competition band repertoire, a "set" of March, Strathspey and Reel, and a competition medley, along with our usual parade and concert tunes.
BOOK THE BAND
The band has played at lots of high-profile corporate, social events and concerts over the years. We can put together a program or items to suit most requirements, and are experienced in working with other musical groups and dancers. Solo pipers are also available.
Fees depend on type of the event, and the number of players required. All fees go to the band, which is a non-profit incorporated society registered with the Chartities Commission. Please contact us if you would like to discuss your event.
